The acquisition of the site began our journey, signalling real commitment. The timeline below illustrates the route to our first production.

ACQUIRING THE SITE

The starting point was HOP’s purchase of the site - Something that previous non-starters at Quest Pit did not do. We own, and are committed to, this location and the project.

CONSIDERATE DESIGN

The masterplan takes account of the natural bowl, including buildings with a profile which create minimal disturbance to the landscape. We also make best use of natural features, whilst incorporating measures to both protect and develop the habitat around HOP.

CONSULTATION

Consultation 1 took place from 20th April to 4th May, with great attendance and encouraging interaction with a wide variety of community figures. Consultation 2 is in June, with our preparations well under way.

CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

We aim to begin construction with our expert partner in Q4 2023, integrating challenging sustainable standards through the build. The HOP team will also integrate plans to minimise disruption throughout the programme, along with a raft of local employment opportunities.

FULLY LIVE SITE - PHASE 1

A fully-operational first phase, encompassing around 50% of the site, is planned for the first half of 2025.
